What Makes a Pattern?

It is pattern exploration time! In this task you will be creating your own pattern and reporting about the pattern.


Task Requirements:
1. Construct and display an increasing pattern in a pictorial form with at least 6 repeats.
2. Show and expand the pattern in an input/ output table.
3. Write the pattern rule for your increasing pattern.
4. Describe the pattern in written form using proper sentences.  Think about and use the questions below to do this.
    A.    What does your pattern look like?
    B. How does your pattern increase?
    C. Why would your pattern matter to the world?
    D. What career would use your pattern and why would that career use your pattern?

Presentation of Learning:
You will need to determine the best method of displaying what you learned during this task. You can use a poster, brochure, Powerpoint, iMovie, photography, build it, Prezi, etc.

See bright yellow sheet given to you.
